I made this shot at the train station in Valencia / Spain during our holidays in February. Valencia is the third largest city in spain and it is worth to take a closer look at.

Cap de la Nao

During our holidays in february we went to Cap de la Nao, which is the nearest land-based point to Ibiza. We were there in the afternoon and had the luck to make some interesting shots of the coastline.

Plaza del Castel - Benidorm

If you are ever at the Costa Blanca in Spain you have to visit Benidorm. Due to its skyline with many high hotels and appartment houses it is often called "Manhattan of Spain". Nightlife here is interesting too :-). On this picture you can see a silhouette of a man at the Plaza des Castel, which seperates the two beaches of Benidorm: Llevante and Poniente.

Currently i am on holiday in spain. During the day summer seems to have arrived here already. We have a lot of sunshine and most of the time in sun about 25 degrees and more i think.. :-)

I found this colorful fly today at a park near my house. It is a green bottle fly, which applies to numerous species of blow-flies. PS: I posted this picture in the "summer" section, but it seems summer is over :-(..

There are about 6.000 species of hoverflies described. 500 of them are living in Europe. They are called "hoverflies" because they are often seen hovering or nectaring at flowers. I made this shot near my house.

Shot of a butterfly sitting on a buttercup i made last sunday. It was a very nice day and i had the luck making a few good photos. A macro version of this will follow tomorrow.
